Why replicated websites don’t work:How is your upline training you? #3

September 27th, 2009 by John

Why replicated websites will not work.: Are they asking you to push your companies replicated website out to the masses? Asking you to distribute the link to your replicated website to your e-mail list?  Publish it on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, ect…?  This technique does not work in the Social media era. Here are some of the problems with blasting your replicated site all over the place.

#1Everyone else that is on your team, anyone else involved with your company are probably doing the exact same thing.  The only difference between your company website and the next distributor’s website is the link at the end that gives YOU credit.  What are you going to do to stand out frm the crowd? Everyday I get hit with the same sales pitch from many different people.  If you go onto Facebook, there are thousands of network marketers blasting their opportunity at you.  Screaming, “My company is the best! My product is the best!” You need to be different than everybody else.

#2 When you are pushing your company, company benefits, how long the company has been around ect.. You will meet a lot of resistance.  People  do not like to be “sold”.  You are spending a lot of time, effort and possibly money on people that are probably not interested in being in busines at all. How many of you love to be approached by a salesman?  I know I don’t.  When I shop for a car I usually go after hours to look at the cars because I don’t want a salesperson trying to sell me on a vehicle I don’t want. You need to stand out among the other Salespeople.

#3 Maybe a prospect clicks on to your company replicated website.  The prospect looks over the opportunity but decides it is not for them.  Now what? You have lost that person forever.  There was no opportunity to build a relationship with that person. No further communication with that person. That is why replicated websites don’t work.

What is the solution?  You need to quit pushing your company on the front end.  You need to push yourself!  You need to brand yourself as a leader. You should be pushing “You Incorporated”.  Your opportunity should be in the back end. Your opportunity should be the last thing you talk about.  This is called Attraction Marketing.  This is a people business.  People join people, they do not join companies.

Everyone on your team or in your company are doing the same thing, pushing the business on the front end.  You need to position yourself as a leader, someone with value, something to offer.  Then as a leader, it doesn’t matter what company or product you choose, people will follw you.

You also need to capture your prospects information.  If you are going to go to the trouble of driving people to your website, you need to get their information for follow up.  You need to get your own capture page to gather information for follow up.  A prospect visits your capture page and fills out their name and e-mail address. Cha-Ching! You have an e-mail address to build a report with that person over time.  You can even use that e-mail address to search for them on Facebook or other social sites to connect with them and build a relationship.  Once you have a capture page you will want to get an auto-responder e-mail system.  I won’t go into detail on that today but I will post a link and you can look at the system I use and have had much success with.  John’s Capture System

Let’s recap. To be successful in the age of Internet Marketing you  must brand YOURSELF.  You must market YOU!  That is why replicated websites don’t work.

Good advice. I always advise companies to be a person, not a company. Social media is, duh, social! And social means people networking, not machines.
