Numismatic Coin Collecting Is The Hobby Of Kings

Numismatic coin

Numismatics, the study of money and the collection of coins, began hundreds of years ago. Numismatic coin collecting became known as the “hobby of kings” because typical coin collectors were royals, nobility and people of privileged backgrounds. Today anyone can enjoy the fascinating hobby of collecting coins.

In ancient Rome, Ceasar Augustus, the Roman Emperor, was known for distributing all kinds of coins to the people as Saturnalia gifts. In 1355, the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV was presented a collection of coins by Petrarch. Petrarch, an Italian scholar and poet, is considered the first Renaissance coin collector.

Other well-known collectors include Pope Boniface VIII, Holy Roman Emperor Maximillian, King Louis XIV of France and Ferdinand I. The very first book about coins, De Asse et Partibus, was written in 1514 by Guillaume Bude.

In the early 19th century, coin collecting societies and associations began. The Royal Numismatic Society began in 1836. It still exists today and publishes the Numismatic Chronicle, a journal of coin collecting. The American Numismatic Society began in 1858. In 1866 it began publishing the American Journal of Numismatics. Today the largest coin collection in America is owned by the society. Located in New York City, it has 800,000 coins of all kinds.

Over time, more and more people discovered this fascinating hobby. Most are amateur collectors who simply enjoy the coins. Others are professional and grade coins according to the Sheldon Scale. Numismatics has room for every kind of coin collector.

Collecting coins is an easy hobby to begin and is enjoyed by people of all ages and walks of life. It does not cost a lot of money and most of the supplies to get started are already in most homes. If you are beginning a collection with little to no budget, all a person needs to start a coin collection is a box, coins and an interest in them.

If you have a bit more to spend on supplies you will want to purchase an album and/or small paper envelopes. These things are used to protect the coins. You will also need a magnifying glass between 5x and 8x and a book for identifying and pricing the different coins.

Advanced coin collectors can purchase as many supplies as their budgets allow. The sky is the limit. Advanced coin collectors may want to specialize in collecting coins from a specific era or part of the world. Some coin collectors may want to collect the same coins in each year they were minted. Others may decide to learn how to grade the coins.

Numismatic coin collecting is a great hobby for people of all ages. The degree of involvement can be tailored from very simple coin collecting for children all the way up to the level of a professional coin collector. The most important thing when first beginning to collect is to take it slow and have fun with your new hobby and share it with your friends and family. Who knows, maybe you will get them involved in coin collecting, too.

If I told you that I knew how to get free silver and gold every month, would you want me to tell you or keep it to myself?

Choosing The Right MLM

February 24th, 2010 by John

Choose The Right MLM

There are many factors to consider when choosing the correct MLM company to partner with. You will want to look at and investigate the leadership. This will give you a future view of how the company will run.

Investigate the compensation plan thoroughly. Make sure you will get paid for your efforts and time.

Check out the products offered. Make sure that the product can stand on it’s own.

Most importantly, You need to be a product of the product! If you don’t use or truly believe in the product, your prospects will see right through you. If they can not see the passion in you they will not purchase your product.

When you make your decision and commit to the company, make sure you participate in their auto-ship program. The auto-ship is where the bread and butter is. If you don’t participate then what do you think your distributors will do?  If your distributors are looking to you as leader, they will do whatever you are doing.

Here is what I believe in: Check It Out!

What To Know About Numis Network

Numis network wants to help people create wealth using network marketing to sell collectible silver and gold coins and to assist others to learn to do the same.
Numis NetworkThey have joined together a team that has experience in the marketing field and numismatic industry so that they can help others harness the power of using this form of business.

Becoming a part of their team now means getting to be one of their first independent representatives who can make money through sales to those who are interested in collectible coins or by teaching someone else to become a representative. The beginning of a business like this is the best time to start.

Every human being seems to have the desire to collect something. People all over the world enjoy collecting coins and now with Numis this is something that anyone will be able to help them acquire wherever they are located and at any time they want. No more worrying about where a business should be located or the expense of running one. With a computer and an internet connection anyone can run this business from anywhere.

Numis will provide a website, training videos, conference calls and other business building tools. All of this comes with a low start up cost and no worry about carrying your own inventory.

Using network marketing is a not a new concept for selling something, there are companies out there selling many different things. Numis states that what makes them different than other MLM companies is that they offer a thirty day money back guarantee, they are competitively priced, and their product is the highest grade of silver and gold collectible coins in the world.

When a collector buys coins from a representative of the company they are obliged to let the customer know that they should view their purchase strictly as a collectible item and not as an investment. Any collector item varies in price according to the demand.

A few good tips for those who are new to network marketing in any form are, to always research the company working with them, in the case of collectibles, check on a reputable auction site to see if the items are selling and at what cost. Find out exactly what the start up costs will be and see if as a representative there is anything that must be purchased on a monthly basis. Find out how leads will be generated, will Numis supply them or will a list need to be purchased? Also find out about any marketing campaigns the company offers and if as a representative will be any extra cost.

Before working with Numis Network all of the information needed to make an informed decision should be found on their website. Be sure to read it carefully. If there are any questions contacting one of their customer service representatives should be easy to do. There are no money back guarantees in network marketing for the independent representative, so read all that can be read, watch every video offered and if not satisfied ask questions.
